Whiskey Sour

After a former FBI profiler turned sheriff is confronted with a rape/murder case eerily similar to ones he worked on years ago, he discovers that his retired FBI partner and good friend may be connected to the case. As he unravels the mystery, he uncovers a shocking betrayal and a dangerous secret that leads him on a thrilling chase to catch a killer before they strike again.

"Whiskey Sour" is a murder mystery screenplay that follows Sheriff Mike Price, a former FBI profiler, who is confronted with a rape/killing case that is eerily similar to a series of cases he worked on years earlier. The problem is that the man arrested for those crimes had died in prison, and Sheriff Price is convinced that the true killer was never captured.

 

As he investigates the case, Sheriff Price discovers that his former FBI partner and good friend, Terry Sanders, has retired and has been living in his county for some time. Though he doesn't believe Terry is the killer, he finds it suspicious that Terry is living in his county at the same time as the new murder.

 

With the help of Detectives Blanca Ortega and Larry Munson, Sheriff Price is able to unravel the mystery. He discovers that Terry Sanders had discovered his secret lover, Ronny Johnson, was in fact the serial rapist/killer that the FBI was hunting. Terry Sanders had set up Ronny Johnson to go down on drug charges, knowing that if he went to prison as a rapist, his chances of survival in prison would be slim.

 

Years later, Ronny Johnson leaves prison on parole and lives with the now-retired Terry Sanders. When Terry Sanders discovers that Ronny Johnson has again started his murderous ways, he plans to turn him in, but Ronny murders him first and stages it to look like a suicide. Sheriff Price seems to always be one step behind the killer, considering several other suspects before connecting the dots.

 

With Sheriff Price hot on his tail, Ronny attempts to take one last victim, Detective Ortega. To save her life, Detective Ortega is able to critically wound Ronny. Ronny lives just long enough to give a confession to Sheriff Price. "Whiskey Sour" is a thrilling story of murder, betrayal, and secrets that will keep the audience guessing until the very end.
